What size boatlift do I need?
When customers are shopping for a new HydroHoist, the first question they usually ask is “what size boatlift do I need”?
While some customers only buy for their current needs, most customers purchase a boatlift with more capacity than they will actually use. If you ask, most boaters will tell you they have a personal plan to upgrade to a bigger boat in the near future. This bigger boat will likely require more lifting capacity than the current boat. Since upgrading later will have More

Fusion – FINALLY!
The fusion process has been around awhile in the gas and oil industry. HMG decided to take this process one step further in complexity than other industries – and did we ever. I believe over the long run, the efforts spent over the last several month’s will prove beneficial and a wise investment of company resources. The fusion process allows HMG to get out of a dying, heavily regulated, and slower FG process.
Our take on the process is unique in that we began pushing the envelope More

“How to properly position ULE tanks”
As many of you know we have expanded the UL2 product line to include hoists up to 30,000 lbs capacity. These new UL2 hoists take the place of the old style “Big L” and “Mega L” lifts which used fiberglass style tanks. From time to time you will hear us refer to these lifts as ULE. The “E” simply means we “Expanded” the UL2 series to include capacities greater than the typical 4400, 6600 and 8800.
As every installer knows, correctly positioning the boat on the hoist is a critical More

Warehouse Operations Update
The 2009 season is off and running. Aside from the many challenges that the warehouse operations normally face, we are also experiencing an unprecedented down turn in the marine industry. I think that it is safe to say that this is a symptom of the overall economic situation. It stands to reason that many of our customers are simply banking their money, taking a “wait and see attitude”, and holding off on any large-ticket purchases. The upside to this is that there should be a pent up demand More
