The Beasley family (Harold, Danny, Phillip, and Michael) were featured in the recent issues of two publications: Smith Lake Living and Walker Magazine.
Smith Lake Living featured the Beasley’s on the cover with a full-page article in the community magazine. Harold Beasley purchased Duskin Point Marina in Jasper, Alabama on Smith Lake in November of 1986. Three generations and 28 years later, the Beasley’s have continued to make a huge impact on Smith Lake. The article also touches on the tragic death of Mike Beasley in May, 2001 which spurred the development of the Smith Lake Task Force which was formed as a way to organize resources for future search and recovery operations on the lake. Donations and entry fees from the annual Mike Beasley Memorial Poker Run have been the primary source of funding for the Task Force. Click here to read the full article.
Additionally, Harold Beasley, or “Mr. B.,” was featured in Walker Magazine. The article profiles his love for Walker County, areas of change and opportunities for improvement.
